there HAS to be SOMEone who knows whereI can purchase the brass check valves for the BN40 accelerator pump...
Can someone help?
Ive tried cleaning them and blowing thru them with the compressor. I have one that wont clear out and one that seems like the ball is too loose.
Thanks

DJ

You may want to contact Mikuni usa directly. As far as I know, it's not sold by itself.

With that said... there are small check valves available.

If you can't find one... check McMaster Carr, part number 7757K44. It's a small plastic check valve for oil/fuel, with 1/8" barbed fittings. ($4)

Mcmaster looks to be a cool site. I'm a hobbyist and always looking to build things. Interesting stuff there.

Thanks for your help. I'll try to contact Mikuni I guess. The plastic check valve looks "Doo-able" but I'd really like to find the brass ones.

Thanks Doc- I`m going to rig mine, same problem. I jetted to 70,works. But I do want the accel. pump to work. A new carb with accel. pump are under $250.00.

Used carbys off ebay are still a few hundred bucks. besides the fact that the ones with accelerator pump are hard to find. My carbs are in good condition I just need the brass 90* check valve inlet for the accelerator pump hoses.

In case anyone else has the same problem with these fuel inlet check valves...... I called Mikuni America the other day and they told that because its a press in part, You cant buy it seperate. Oh well.... Ebay here I come......

Got the plastic check valves from McMaster&Car. They are as small as I hoped and need one pound of pressure to release open end. By using three I should be able to deliver a really good squirt. The one pound deliver should help hold fuel in lines between accel. pump and jets. My carbs are just not ready to come off yet.
