Ok so I have a seadoo 2006 rxp , when I put the key on it doesn't do the 2 short acceptance beeps it once did, it still start and runs fine but every few minutes does an incredibly long beep, I should also mention that most of the display screen is no not working either, such as the revs or speed or the lower panel which displays faults, can anyone shed any light on what it might be .

Remove all ground and hot wires, clean the ends and where they mount as well. Use dielectric grease. Remove the covers from the electrical boxes, very common to get wet and corrode or rust and create shorts and poor connections

Hi thank you for getting back to me, I should of mentioned I cleaned all connections and disconnected everything I could get my hands on and cleaned it, as I store the ski in Mallorca so exposed to salt air , all connections are clean but still have to problem

I would check the fuse box area VERY well. Very common fault. It corroded from the bottom. Hard to see it. Pull the fuses as they will normally show a green corrosion on the spades if that is the issue area.

If was low fuel beep wouldn't it would still double beep when putting key on , wouldn't it ? As it's not doing this anymore

It does have a low fuel beep but that tends to be same as low battery beep which is like 4 seconds long, this is longer , as it doesn't double beep when putting key on and half the dials aren't working now it would appear to be as coastline joe says a electrical fault, it could be a maintenance beep but as the bottom of the dial where it shows up faults isn't working I can't see what's going on

Communication problem with LCD gauge will cause a long beep. I think the double beep goes away as well but can't remember.

You know the factory service manual has a list of the meaning for all the beep codes, so you probably have that already. Of course wierd or missing beeps could happen if the wiring connectors were electrically noisy due to corrosion as Coastie suggested.

GOOGLE search or seadoomanuals dot com might get it if you don't have it.
