Sea Doo 3D not charging

I've got a 04 3d that doesn't seem to charging the battery, I haven't even put a voltmeter on the battery while its running yet. I will this week. Just wondering if these machines have any common problems in their charging system.

So I put the multi meter on the battery while it the ski was running it went up to in voltage... also one of the 2 twenty amp fuses is looking a bit burnt up. There is still connectivity between the two probes, but the plastic is half melted on it. I think the fuse holder might even need to be replaced. are the 2 fuses that just hang there supposed to be 20 amp????
