Hi, Have 1999 RFX gti that idles and has good throttle response while I use the flush line to run and will idle all day at around 1500 to 1600 rpm if i let it, with no issues, but when in the water, if I am moving there is no issue but it will bog down and run rough, backfiring if I idle thru a no wake area for more than 5 min, then when I stop and look at plug front cylinder plug is wet? I replaced the plugs, gapped at about .024 again it will run like a banshi all day but if I idle for an extended period of time same thing happens. It sat for about 2 years and I have put in another hour of run time since, fresh gas and oil no help only has 105 hours. Trying to figure out what to do next? Thanks for any suggestion. Luc

pull the injector rail and while leaving the injectors and fuel hose in tact, install the dess key but don't start it, do this a few times to build up fuel pressure have a paper towel or news paper under the injectors and watch for leaks or drips. may need to get them professionally tested / cleaned or replaced. even if it doesn't leak it may have a bad spray pattern spraying too much fuel, especially at idle.

Spark plug wires need to be removed from the boots, trimmed .25" and put back into the boots.

The RFI runs on one cylinder at idle which SeaDoo thought was a good idea to save on fuel. Notorious for fouling plugs when idling. I suggest bumping the throttle as much as you can in the no wake zone.

Could also swap the two injectors and see if the symptom follows the injector. All of the other suggestions above have merit I think.

And it's true the RFI idles on one cylinder, at least I think that's true while on the trailer. It accomplishes this by shutting off one fuel injector, pretty sure. I could be wrong, wouldn't be the first time.
