I have a 2005 RXP, somewhat new to jet ski's.. have always had winterzation done by marina, so trying to be more of the expert and do things myself. I was a t Lake Mead and got a almost egg size rock sucked up in the intake. It looks like it did just minor scratches on propeller and about half quarter size removal on the veins, but only on a few of them, most of the veins are still in good shape. I got the jet ski out immediately and got the rock out when I got back home. Should I have any issues next time out, I have seem some vein pics on here and most of them were almost gone a most of the advice was that it wouldn't effect performance. Any thoughts here or should I expect some problems.

Don’t worry about the veins. Your ski will work fine without them. The big concern is if the impeller got twisted, or if you cased enough damage to the wear ring to cause it to delaminate. There are a few times when we hear about a wear ring coming apart.

If it was my ski… next time out… run it as normal, but when you get it back home, make sure there aren’t any spots on the wear ring that feel bubbled, or missing. It’s not a big deal to change it… but it will ruin a day at the lake, if a chunk comes out of it.
