SBT analysis of my last blown engine...

SBT called me to let me know the latest details of my last blown engine. I'm thinking possible carb/fuel issue again of some sort. They tell me there was a 4 corner seizure. He said it did not run lean and the oil lines looked fine, as it was getting lube. He said possible improper break-in or it got hot...hard to tell exactly he says. I shot down his improper break-in theory because I explained to him how I followed their guidelines thoroughly and only making it to 50% break-in point. My last engine seized about 30 secs after I idled out of the wakezone. Since the last engine has been gone I have blown out all fuel and cooling lines and removed old fuel, really thinking this was possibly my issue.

So, once again I'm looking for some insight from the gurus on here about this analysis and some more info on my cooling system possibly being an issue somewhere. When these boats get hot they give warning beeps, correct? I know my sensor works because we tested it. Could this have gotten just warm enough to seize without warning? Not enough water flowing somewhere? I have flushed the exhaust pipe and manifold channels with cleaner and air, along with everything else. I feel like I'm chasing my tail with this boat but determined to find out what is wrong.

As always, thanks for your help!!!

Not that this solves the overheating issue, but did you ground the temp sensor wire to the engine to make sure its functioning?

my thoughts also.

The beeper in my boat is intermittent. (some times I don't get beeps from putting on the tether) But... I have a backup idiot light because I installed the info gauge from an XP in my boat.

Pictures would be better. If the engine was fresh… seeing where the burn marks start would be helpful (on the skirts, or the top by the exhaust. Etc.)

Temp sensor has been grounded and is working. I don't have pics of the engine. SBT does all the tearing apart of the engine so I have to take their information as it's given to me.
