Anyone know about the bugs in the new RXT IS 255?

I own one and it has four hours on it. Left me stuck in the middle of the lake for an hour so. Dealer says BRP is working out software bugs. It was throwing some kind of IS codes that confused the whole system. It also fouled the plugs. They said it was set to run rich until the ten hour break in. Seems a bit to rich to me to foul out after only 3 to 4 hours.

Now I have a check engine light on and theres nothing they can do until seadoo comes out with a fix. They have it rigged to where I can ride, but thats darned dissapointing on a brand new, top of line, expensive ski.

You'd think they would have tested it more before selling it. The dealer told me everyone they have sold has come back with some kind of electrical/software problem. Would have been nice to know that before hand.

dealer has told me the same thing when I was watching them take one out of the crate while picking it up after the 10 hour service. He said he feels bad for selling them and has a deal written up saying "i've been informed that some RXT iS are throwing codes, blah blah blah, and they'll be informed when the fix is ready from BRP" just to cover his behind. He said out of the 20 or so that he's sold he's only seen 12 back so far. He can't the other 8 to return the phone calls to see if they're having problems.

What part of Houston are you in?

I actually live about ten miles outside the city limits in a small town between Houston and Galveston. I work in Texas City at one of the plants. Thanks for the reply, hopefully they will get it fixed. Let me know if you hear anymore news.

i was wondering if you have found an answer to ur problem and if so how do i fix it my jetski is doing to same thing yours was!
