just bought a seadoo 92 with 720 engine
starts easy and 135 of comprecion in each cylinder
yesterday to clean the carburetors
and when to start it stay in high RPM
pull the lanyard and push the stop button
no longer starts after

thank for your help guy.

You've got an air leak somewhere check back over your work. Did you use new base gaskets?

Lou

I'm afraid I wouldn't even venture a guess, you've got the wrong motor in that ski, so I wouldn't know how it's wired. BTW and electrical problem wouldn't cause the ski to run away (high rpm's). I suppose you could check the fuses.

Lou

the electric box have 2 square relay
I'm not sure if the problem
is the lanyard or the stop button
because when push the start button nothing happens

you know how test

is 92 xp
with swap engine 720
start easy before
but when I pull the lanyard and push the stop red button
now push the start button
& nothing I replace the relays but still same not get power.

Well, it appears that you have 92XP electronics, and it also looks like you have an aftermarket rev. limiter (the red box). You'll need to find someone who has worked on older ski's, my knowledge is very limited on pre 1995.

Lou

When you say "Pull the lanyard" you really mean that you put it on the post then push the start button?

yes I pull the lanyard to shut off the engine
because the idle was too high RPM
AFTER CLEAN CARBS....

after that not give any signal of live..

any help is appreciated

As I said in post 2, which you dismissed, you have an air leak that is causing the motor to run away. The motor over revs., and the rev. limiter probably kicked in shutting off the ski. So even if you get the "electrical problem" fixed it's going to do the same thing. You might be able to reset the rev. limiter by disconnecting the battery and grounding the red lead. Also check the rev. limiter and see if there's a reset. Be sure to fix the problem with the air leak before you start the ski again. Start with the carb. base gaskets.

Lou

I don't have a clue, it's an aftermarket rev. limiter. What I was saying before was to disconnect the battery and ground the red battery cable. I'm not certain that it would work, just a shot in the dark.

I would be happy for someone else to take over on this thread, any volunteers?

Lou

after clean carbs
the idle was high RPM....

I pull the lanyard to shut off the engine & push the stop button
then I try start again but nothing
I push the start button and no crack
completely dead

Stop repeating yourself, we get it. Unfortunately you do have an issue of a stuck throttle butterfly, incorrect idle speed, air leak, etc. as for the electrical, you are on your own. Without having the ski in front of me to see how the swap was set up, I can't help you. Lou is right, you need to check your work because you did something to cause it to rev at start up.

Shawn,

Great answer, you said what needed to be said for a long time. You might notice I gave your reputation a boost.

Lou

today disconnect the stop button and
the lanyard
and hitting the start but still no power to MPEM

may fry the mpep

Still confused on the problem here. Are you saying you are getting no power when you connect the lanyard and press the start/stop button?

Sounds like 2 different problems. A run away is most likely an air leak like Lou stated several times. I'm not sure anyone can help much with the electronics here. It is not a stock set up and we don't have the ski in front of us

ok ..guy
sorry for not explaining well
short story..
the problem I have is that
the ski not crank With The start button

When you say will not"crank"... Do you mean it will not turn the engine over or it will turn over just not fire up?

* try jumping the solenoid with a screwdriver to see if it will turn over
