:(new member with major snafu today. was pulling a tube today, rope was too long, had extra stored on floor. when the knot gave, it pulled the left over straight up the middle seats with rope burn from hell. only to the mesh white cloth so not total hole. any tips on vinyl repair that can match the silver/grey material? thanks.

Call around and ask various car upholstery shops. I know it can be done. I work for the fire deparment, and most of the inside cabs of our trucks are vinyl. Not a good idea for clumsy men with sharp tools like axes. We have had a guy come out and fix many holes. He mixes up this liquid stuff and color matches it perfect. He smears it on and patches the hole. When dry you can barely tell it is there.

Thanks, I will do that. Do you recall whAt something like that cost you guys? Just want to make sure I'm not getting poked. I saw some kits online but concerned with duribility and color match.

The guy comes to us each time. There are usually 3 or 4 spots that need repaired and I think it is uaully under a $100.
