i found the b-kit, on sea-doo centre but...this is still all new to me so...did you use the riva ecu w/ 50 lb fuel injectors??? and it says the riva ecu has to be activated by an authorized BRP dealer...so did you just install everything except the ecu and then have them tune it???

btw thanks a lot for your help

stock new RXTX is fast enough. sure top speed is gonna be same as the older 215's but all muscle craft is kind there around 70mph or so. this one will get you to that speed faster. gun it from stop and you'll almost fly off if you dont hold on. try some tricks with it and you'll find out that its actually harder to do it than with some less powered and smaller craft. I bought a RXTX 255 as my first craft ever and loved it all summer. I did ride on older RXP 215 bone stock so Im familiar with the muscle craft.

what I was looking for before buying this craft was a used 215 possibly modded already since you can get a good deal that way. but there is also risk buying a modded craft. I didnt find anything localy and 255 came out so I ended up with that.

Good work on research yes thats where mine was born, yes I installed the riva ecu/injectors then took it to a dealer for buds activation, they dont tune it though they just transfer your crafts history and hours over to the new ecu.

BUT dont do it without the valvetrain upgrade first!! Hear me well do not run it above 8100 RPMs without the valvetrain upgrade.

Riva ECU alows for 8600 RPMs

any more advice?

im about to buy a newer rxp, and then prolly go with the stage III riva kit. how are you running your b-kit supercharger fuel wise. because it said on that site that this special boost fuel was required and not to use any shell gasoline, etc. u know any reason for that? if so where do u get the boost fuel/how much does it cost?

Thanks again man

you just have to use premium fuel and i dont see why you cant use shell gas...

idk thats what it says

in the fine print on seadoocentre.com at the very bottom

it says

**These parts are racing parts. Use of these parts on your Seadoo void manufacturer warranty. All listed components have been tested and are only suitable for use with 98 octane premium ULP (do not use any type of Shell fuel). Seadoo Centre will not be liable for any loss, injury or damage due to the use of these products.

Oem.....

As with any purchase, anytime you make a modified change, you void the warranty. This applies to more than just PWC's............

the riva stage III SC gets you 10.5 lbs of boost, but meirvin was saying that his b-kit stage III rxp gets 14 lbs of boost, but I found the b-kit on seadoocentre.com and it says that the b-kit supercharger requires whatever that fine print says

i was just curious. 10.5 psi is plenty, but I always like to know my options i guess.

thanks a lot though for yalls input

the one other thing I was wondering is whats the best way for me to start learning about these 4 tech engines, i want to learn as much as possible just because i have a passion for these machines, is there a good aftermarket workshop guide, or will the owners manual suffice? any thoughts?

I would say get a shop manual.... and now that you brang that up this is were all the moderator's tell you to sign up as a perimium member but for a FEE..... if you plan on keeping it and doing lots of modding and other work your self then go buy the book way nicer.

Sporsterjoel, I beg to differ. How many post of mine have you read that recommended getting premium membership?...........

My advice to you pcm061000, is to either google the 1503, 4-TEC engine or get the manual. I can tell you this. The 4-TEC is so advanced that if you do not have a computer and the software to work with this motor, your spinning your wheels. I have been working on the Seadoo engines for a while, but this is one engine that I can only work with on a basic level. The engine is practically taken care of by sensor input (14 of them) and an engine managment system that makes the changes according to that input. To trouble shoot this engine, you must have the VCK and B.U.D.S.

The octane in these engines should not be less than 91. If your modding, then you may find an octane booster at any auto parts supply store.

Ok your right snip i shouldnt of put the word ALL in therebut there are some that do try that... Also im not sayin people shouldnt join as perimium but if you only have one craft and are keeping it for at least a few years then buy the book. If i owned more then one of diffrent years then i would join as perimium... But none the less great site..... I also think these motors arent all that hard to work on -the buds system is only at the dealer witch is the only negative thing about the new 4 strokers, Think about cars these days the 4tec isnt any harder to work on then a new car/truck. For example My 2005 Jeep Grand had a problem with the ignition switch and it was throwing EVERY code in the ecu and turning the A/C,hearter on and off and a bunch of other wierd problems. lol almost all new vehical from 2000 up even have BLACK box's now just like on airplanes.
