reverse cable

was out today trying to get back in was raining heard a pop and lost forward thrust engine sounded fine would rev up just not go forward. jumped in reverse gate was just flopping around cable was not hooked up is it a bolt or pin or what that holds it in place? and would this cause loss of forward thrust ? would idle fine and could push it forward just wouldnt move. and if anybody knows part number would be great thanks

that dosent show me the part i need. i need the bolt or whatever it is that actually bolts the cable to the reverse gate

Reverse Gate

Yes, the missing bolt would cause the ski not to go in forward, because the reverse gate will stay closed.

The missing bolt is identical to the steering cable bolt. You can remove the steering bolt, take it to Lowes or where ever you want and get a new one. It's a bolt, about 1" long, a lock washer (the kind that has the nylon insert), and two washers. All parts are stainless steel. I think its a 10mm head.
