Replacement engine recommendations

Hi, I have a 97 GTI- type 717 (sn# M4736290) it is locked up. It’s home is Montana and the local boat place won’t touch it. I have looked online and see a place I could ship it to and have it rebuilt or exchange it. Who would you recommend? I would like for it to be set up and timed with the fly wheel. Thanks! ( I have it ready to pull and ship but I am not an engine builder. Wish I was! )

From everything I’ve seen, I would recommend Peter Rucinsky at Fox Valley Powersports. I haven’t had him do any work but I’ve probably seen no less than 50 people recommend him and not one negative.

1 up for Fox Valley got a top end kit for a 800 last year and it was perfect in every way.
He does good work.
