I have to change out the cover of the rear electrical box. It doesn't look like it is going to be much of a problem re-running the red wires but I am not sure what i should do in order to get the spark plug wires through the holes in the box. Don't know if I should clip the boot off the spark plug wires and reinstall the boot after running the wire through the hole in box cover or what. Any help would be appreciated.

You got it....

Your procedure is air tight. That's exactly what you do. The only way to replace them, is to clip the boots.

You actually unscrew them. There is a small brass barb inside the boot that you screw the wire back onto when you finished.

You should actually pull the boots and trim about 1/4" off every other year or so to make sure you keep a good electrical connection.

BUt, sounds like you got a handle on it.....

Thanks for the reply,
If understand you right, the spark plug boot will just unscrew from the wire and then I should clip the end of the wire? I was thinking that if i could get the boot off the wire it would fit through the hole on the electrical box. If I end up having to clip the cable itself I dont think I will have enough cable to reach the spark plugs due to it being a tight fit already. I looked at disconnecting the spark plug wires from inside the electrical box where they attach to the grounding board, but I am not sure how i would go about doing that. I sure wish I had read the other posts on why the electrical boxe covers wouldn't snap into place on other ski's. Then I wouldn't have broke the clip off the box cover trying to force it back into place. Thanks again for the reply, I have learned a lot from all of your posts. One last question. Do you have any tips on the step sequence for re-installing a steering cable? If so, maybe it would save me some time and frustration in trying to determine weather or not I did it right.
Thanks
