I don't understand, what exactly would be the purpose of a RAVE valve on a four stroke? You already have exhaust valves in the cylinder head.

The RAVEs for the 4-tec should be installed between the muffler bearings and the AC battery.

Are you sure thats ok to do? It usually puts extra strain on the oil pressure anticipator dump valve. Not an easy part to change & very hard to find. I suppose if it goes out, you could always run the engine with no oil until a replacement can be installed?

No, no, no, you guys got it all wrong, it goes after the knuter valve and before the muffler bearing. Otherwise you'll blow out the franostat.

Most people make the mistake of making them out of balonium when they put them in. It just wont stand up to the stress from the Johnson rod. Unobtainium is the correct material to use. It also helps to use a sky hook to hold everything in place while you perform the job.

A set of heavy duty tungsten alloy piston springs will be necessary to accommodate the above performance modifications. The Johnson rod should be installed using precision machined copper torque washers to avoid a broken torque curve.

I heard it adds 50 hp if done correctly. Hope he plans to run premix on that motor! LOL

You overlooked the obvious. To get the RAVE valves on the 4-TEC you have to machine the transfer and boost ports into the cylinders and use the correct tuned pipe. Duh!

Good point, but will there be enough room for the oil anticipator bypass valve? We wouldn't want to get the synthetic boost port oil dirty, so the oil should bypass the friction surfaces no?

THIS thread is epic!

O.P., when faced with such a piece of...work...as the guy telling you this crap, PLEASE take the opportunity to embarrass him to the point he considers jumping off a bridge. Or does. The World doesn't need wack-o lying P.O.S. folk like that.

Well, my co worker just said he ordered the parts to install the rave valves on his friend 4-tec, told him to take pix LOL

Michael,
We've had a lot of fun with this thread, thanks for posting the question, you've been a really good sport. Sometimes we need a thread like this to get the silliness out of our systems.

Unless he's really good at photoshop, those are pictures you will never see....... ;)

I was thinking about adding raves to my Honda lawnmower. But I don't want them sticking and the synthetic oil is too expensive. Can I use the hamburger grease off my grill instead?

You can, you just have to add a Statin regiment. Check with your local mechanic to see if statins are right for your mower.....
