I came across an old thread regaring rave valves. One of the posters said that the green diaphragms were thicker and prevented the raves from opening up all the way. I'm not here to argue any point I am wondering if there is a vendor that supplies the more felxible rave diaphragms? Not being a Seadoo guru, many here know I just started working on these about 2 - 3 years ago so I'm not familiar with product development or history. I noticed when I was working on my GTXs I came across some RED diaphragms and they were noticably more flexible. I"m gonna research but help is appreciated.

When I did my first GTX I bought a rave valve kit and the green bellows/diaphragm was noticeably thicker Both GTXs have pretty much the same everything and neither of them get past 6700 RPM at Full throttle. I thought it was perhaps a tachometer thing now I'm questioning if the raves are opening 100%. We hardly ride these skis and we don't ride wide open so the performance didn't bug me. If I'd be riding them more often I'd have worked on this issue for sure. I have RFIs the turn 6900. Just happenstance that I came across the bellows post in a thread on another forum but it is a really really old thread. Help is appreciated.

Seadoo discontinued the red ones and switched to the green.
The issue was that some of the aftermarket "green" ones were too thick and stiff just like the aftermarket Mikuni diaphragms.

I dig through my pile and see if I can find some to compare. Does anyone have a source for good diaphragms/bellows for the raves?

I compared the rave movement between the green bellows I got from Bay Area power sports and old red stock ones. Not sure if they moved any more, but they definitely moved more crisply.

When I checked the rave valves with the "red material" I left tose in place. The simply moved better. More flexible. I wish I could still buy those because I would.
