No, you could note the location in which you see them now, then you'll know where to put them back.
When the first powervalve engine came out, the 787cc, the specs called for the red adjustment cap to be in complete. Then, the following season, they suggested to run them out flush with the black cap.
I believe the 951 is also adjusted out flush to the cap. It's important but won't do any real damage if you decided you wanted to play around with them, a quarter turn this way or that.
The red knob adjust the tension on the spring for opening at set exhaust pressure..........:cheers:
