does anyone know what the plastic tube that is slash cut is called ? the rubber hose seats on it. My drive bearing seized and did some serious dammage to the plastic tube. I am looking to replace it but cannot find it for the life of me. ok i have attatched a pic ( diregard the white blotch i hijacked the pic) but its the part underneath the hose , anyone know what its called?

It's an hull insert. It's where the driveshaft come in. You can get them in plasic or in metal form.
 
thanks !!!!!!!!!!!!!! i just spoke with a shop and he basically told me the same thing. any idea on where to get 1 for a decent price? maybe a site sponsor? im suprised this site doesnt have a sponsor section........(<-----good idea)

jetskimechanic sells them for like $25. I am sure everyone else sells them for about the same. Hopefully you didn't rip it all out and need to re-fiberglass the area. I know you need to epoxy them in place also.
 
nope still all in tact, im one of those guys that likes to research everything before lol.. i have it all tore down to the point of removal. fiberglass is good , the drive bearing seized and the clamp did a number on the thru hull fitting. I just hope its not a pain to remove the old one to epoxy the new one in.
 
I think the service manual goes through how to repalce it and seal it back to the hull. I seen the instrucitons somewhere.
