Question on flush kit & winterizing.

I have a buddy who told me the easiest way to winterize a PWC is to get a kit like on the blow link and use RV anti-freeze to flush out the motor. He stated to run it just like flushing the motor, but the anti-freeze residue left in the motor will prevent the water in the motor from freezing. Is this possible and OK? Will this circulate enough anti-freeze through the motor & exhaust?

I'm not worried about the anti-freeze getting in the ground, as I can use the shop at work and use floor dry on it, thus preventing anit-freeze from getting into any soil/water/etc.

Is this possible and OK? Would this circulate enough anti-freeze through the motor & exhaust to prevent freezing and causing damage? If this is OK to winterize the motor, is the regular anti-freeze (green stuff) better then the RV stuff?

Thanks.

thats how i do it.. using pink marine antifreeze until it comes out pink.. only diff is i use a drill pump with a setup i made to provide pressure into the line similar to a garden hose. im not sure others opinions or if the engine will provide enough suction, if any, to use just a gravity feed like that.

RV anti freeze is expensive.

I know a lot of guys I work with have big boats..like 50'-60' these boats have many tanks and things that need to be winterized on a yearly bases and they were spending hundreds of dollars on the RV antifreeze. Long story short, they all started using windshield washing fluid....it has antifreeze in it and it keeps there sh** from freezing @ like a dollar a gallon. They don't use it in there drinking water tanks but as far as there sewer lines and thru their engines and they say it is fine. Just my two cents.

Do you have a manual. It says how to do it in there. If you have a boat it may be different. Probably is.
