I will be using my new GTX 155 mostly for cruising but quite a lot for towing watersports; wakeboard, wakeskate, trickski, kneeboard, slalom ski and tubing. My question concerns breakin since I'm a firm believer in doing it the way the book says. Now to the question, what does the book on the Wake 155 specify for breakin before towing?

Yes I did. The only thing I found was general breakin of 10 hours. But my question was about towing, I didn't see anything saying I should wait the full 10 hours or if it would be OK sooner than that and that was my question. If it is the full 10 hours then so be it, I just thought the wake 155 may have something specific to towing.

I don't know about you but I see no reference to towing. If it can be done sooner, I'd like to know and at the same time if a longer breakin is needed before towing, I'd like to know that as well. Both my previous 3 seater Kawasaki had specific instructions about breakin for towing watersports.

Towing a tube doesn't require steady throttle nor full throttle take off nor full throttle to maintain speed. I doubt I would do any towing before 10 hoursanyway, I just thought the wake 155 may have specific instructions about it. Apparently not.

DO NOT TOW during break in period. There is a very heavy load when towing. Simply not worth it for the load to wear things out of the normal wear pattern.

I know it doesn't require constant speeds to pull a tube. It sure is easier on the kids necks if it is though.
