I had my carbs rebuilt by jazzmotorsports for my 02 xp.. I just put everything back together and i cannot get it to fire.. Do i have to prime it at all somehow? I also replaced the reeds with carbontech ones because one was chipped and installed the r&d performance filter, should i change the carb settings at all from factory? And what are the factory settings? Im thinking they may not have put them back after the rebuild.. And how do I set them.. Turn all the way in until snug and then that many turns out correct?

OK... set the carbs to the stock settings. Seat the needles lightly, and turn them out to the factory settings.

You don't really need to "Prime" the carbs... but if they are dry... you may have to crank for a little while to get the fuel to pump up to them. If you think it's taking too long... shoot a little pre-mixed fuel down the carbs to get the engine to fire. Once it does... it will pull the fuel up quickly.

So take the filter off and put about how much fuel mix into each carb? Just suck up a little in a straw or something and drop it down? Ive never done this before its been a pretty good learning experience (if i get her running haha)

Which is lsa and which is hsa? Their is the idle screw on the one and then another screw on both.. For hsa "0" what does that mean keep it closed? The lsa 1-1/2 means close it and turn it out 1-1/2 correct..

Their is fuel to the the in just the carb is not taking it.. I had a mechanic look at it and he said he thinks who i had rebuild them put the diaphragm in backwards..

Nice  I hope it wasn't a pro mechanic :banghead:

Anyway...

You really can't put them in backwards... but if he did... it wouldn't start.

Your needles. The high speed screw is the one toward the top of the carb, opposite of the throttle cable. The low speed screw is toward the bottom, and on the same side as the cable.

Screw them in until the are lightly seated, and open them the amount you posted. And yes... 0 is closed.

Just to make sure im getting all of this.. There is the big idle screw which is on the left carb by the throttle cable then another screw on the same carb which would be the low speed? Then another screw on the other carb which would be the high speed?.. So total of three adjusting screws correct.. If u cant tell im a carb virgin.. Im learning though i appreciate all this help!
