Here is my problem...

I have an 06 seadoo Wake with 40 hours on it. I have had wear ring problems since day one. About every 8-10 hours the seadoo starts to cavitate and loose top end speed. Every time we take back to the dealer they say the wear ring is shot. We get it replaced and it works fine for 8-10 hours. Turns out that the screws are falling out of the pump housing that hold the wear ring in. The dealer now says we need a new pump housing or the screws will continue to fall out and loosen the wear ring and cause it to fail again.

Does anyone know why this is happening. Has there been any reports of other people having this problem on their seadoo's. Also can the pump housing be replace by a do it yourselfer with moderate mechanic skills?

Thanks for your help!

OK. Look for the pictures & proceedure in the 2006 Seadoo Wake SHOP MANUAL.
Then its about an hour job. WE Use the recommended BRP synthetic oil.
