I just bought a 1998 seadoo challenger twin engine I didnt think it was going to have as much wrong with it as it does but i tried turning the engines over and they would not budge so i pulled the head off 1 engine and the cylinders have some rust on them and the pistons are stuck i have already tried pb blaster, carb cleaner and even letting them soak in 2 cycle oil but cant free them up, Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get the cylinders off and do you think the crank is going to be shot
 
I would keep spraying PB or WD40 in them until the rust starts to break down.

Please post a pic so we can see how bad it it.
 
Just soaked the cylinders in ATF. Probably wont get to work on it again until monday but ill let u know waht happens
 
Im thinking of going with the wsm platinum rebuild kit. Are these good pistons I usually use wiesco in my race quads but since im buying four they get a little pricey, Also do you think the cranks are fried
 
the WSM kits are fine.

Since the engines are locked up... I'm going to say that the cranks are shot. The same rust holding the pistons, is going to be eating the bearings. But... you won't know until you get the pistons, and jugs off.
 
Well just pulled the carbs and to my suprise there was some kind of sand and crushed rock in the bottom end. How would this have got there
 
Poorly maintained motor/s, notice in the bottom of the picture with 2 cyls the bottom of the water jacket is decayed, this motor was not flushed out after leaving the river/ocean -appears to be salt water decay that may not seal again - be certain to pressure test this each step of the way back together, you may need welding or good used cyls for this one. I have one like this and just switched the sleeves to regain the original bore size in good used cyls that were already opened to the limit.
