I found a very clean low hour 1997 spx, 787. Spent a lot of its life in storage. One owner adult female. I know it will need the usual repairs, fuel lines, carb rebuild, to get it up to date. $1500 with a trailer sound fair. Engine looks like new, hull shiny with almost no scratches. Good decals, clean seat.

I am going to see it in person on Saturday, what specifically should I look at on the 787 engine, I do not know the common problems to look for?

Thanks

150 is good for the 787. Some other things you can check for are if the vts works, if the gauge shows high or low all the time it has had water in it so there may also be corrosion in the vts motor. Check the electrical box to make sure it's dry, check the wear ring and impeller, etc. these are all minor things you might already know, just thought I'd throw it out there as means of negotiation.

The 787 motor is similar to the others, it just has the rave valves and a bit more cc. I can't think of any specific problems they had compared to the others. I'd say 1500 is fair if it has been taken care of and runs good.
