Hi! Just put some premixed fuel to my tank 1:50 but it smoke a lot! Is normal or should I put some more petrol? Please help! Tomorrow I'm going to use it on the sea.
Many thanks

If you running premix instead of injector, you should be pre mixing at 40:1 Be sure you have the correct oil for you seadoo also.

Thanks for reply. I've used standard Texaco 2stroke oil just to try, but I was thinking about Castrol TTS. Now i will use proper stuf!
Thanks once again

Recommended oil and fuel use.

Use High quality low ASH API TC Injector oil.
Do Not use NMMA TC-W, TC-W2 or TC-W3 outboard motor oils or other ash less type 2 cycle oil. Avoid mixing different brands of API TC oil as resulting chemical reaction will cause severe engine damage. Never mix Mineral or synthetics oil together.

Never use fuel containing more than 10 % alcohol,( Methanol or Ethanol) as severe damage will occur. The minimum of 87 octane is recommended for most engines.

Your opinion is fine.... My comment is from SEA DOO direct, not an opinion, but what is recommended by seadoo the manufacturer. Everyone has their own opinion, The comments posted in the forum by moderators is what's in the authentic seadoo repair manuals... not hear say or myth beliefs.

KustomKarl

KustomKarl, I just rebuilt my top end and am switching my 2000 xp over to pre mix, using seadoo's synthetic oil. With breaking in considered, what should the ratio be that i mix at?

And after break in is complete what ratio would i be at then? 40:1?

Thank You :)

Finally i have bought some oil . It's MORIS AQUA MAX 2. On the front of the bottle i can see some specs codes NMMA TC-W3, R-94102. On the back API TC, NMMA TC-W3, R-94102B, JASO FB.
Thanks to all of You!! You've been very helpful.

Hey Steve Clever,
I would venture a guess that probably 90%...no 95% of the people on this web site including myself are not rocket scientest like yourself. We are all just average people who don't want anything, except for our skis to run good, and in the process if we are able to help someone else out, that's just "icing on the cake." So please stop with all the oil crap. The manufacturer prescribes procedures and oil types for a reason...guys just like me and most others that operate a Sea Doo. We do not care about oil company lawsuits or how it is manufactured...just that it works and doesn't crap up these expensive investments. So please just stick to the program and stop all the nonsense.

Steveclv, your opinion is valued here. There are a lot of members with expertise in different areas on this forum. This forum is about helping others from spending needlessly at the seadoo dealer. When it comes to Oil issues or other issues that have a specific recommendation, it is recommended you follow it. All the staff and moderators here stand behind recommendations made by seadoo. There are other alternatives to the recommendations, and the members can chose which direction to go on their own. This is a "seadoo forum" and not a "do what you want " forum. It isn't sponsored by seadoo, and the moderators here aren't on the payroll for helping out or giving advise. We are volunteers here just trying to give out correct information as stated by seadoo. We use the manuals for the same advise for spark heat range or timing specs, as recommended by seadoo. You are welcome to set your timing or use what ever spark plug you want, or any oil you choose. The staff can only use what's recommended as a base mark. That is the standard structure we use, based on what the manufacturer recommends. We can back up any advise we give, as it's in the manual. Who's to say the head bolt torque is correct in the manual...if asked we give the torque spec value, as it's recommended in the manual, and that's our base line. There might be other alternatives, and if asked we will give our "personal opinions" too from experience, but keep in mind we won't veer far away from the recomended useage stated in the manual.

Oh! One more thing!

What about oil tank? There's still some oil left. I've diconnected the bowden cable between carb ant that oil injection thing, but does it really really turned off now? I don't want the two different types of oil get mixed, thats all. Should I drain that tank to be 100% sure?
Thanks for reply!!!
