Don't quote me like a fool... I said small, read the rest of the post...
The case your pointing out is not a small dive. A small dive in my book is when you just drop the nose a LITTLE and splash the passengers.

when idling the sportster/speedster 150 the nose sits really low in the water so when i do spins i just stop after and the wake from the spin comes right over the front. Also when im in ruff water if i stop waves come over the front. No need for me to do sub moves not to mention the "potencial risk" of wrecking my invest ment, lots of way to get your friends wet with out subing it.

Your comment was "there is nothing wrong with the sub move". That was not the case in the thread I linked to and you mentioned nothing about the size of the submove. I find it hard to believe people will be able to control the depth of the submove every single time anyway. I say if you want to get wet jump in the water, boats are designed to go on top of the water not below it. Your essentially providing advice to people who are not as experienced as yourself with the sub move. Perhaps the OP in the thread I linked to got the same advice that the sub move is harmless...?

These boats are tough enough to get running right, why risk fugging them up anymore?

For the record, I agree with you dropping the nose a little is likely harmless as long as you can do that everytime. Just want to clarify to readers that the submove is potentially very harmful. Peace and have a beer

Harmful.....maybe, Fun and exciting.....HELL YES
Did sub moves today and it is a really simple thing to do with throttle control.

Maybe I was not clear enough in my original post.
I thought I expressed very clearly what the side effects could be by doing the so called Sub-moves, but just incase Ill repost to clarify.

I think small ones are fun but even those scare me with my investment

I also thought this comment made it very clear the risk involved in doing sub moves.. Hell we've all watched the Youtube videos
If not heres the link to a EXTREME Sub moves (I DO NOT RECOMMEND)

Also keep in mind your taking a huge risk with all of the electronics on board, from MPEM's to Fusebox's you mess something up while full of water you wont be chugging along you'll be bailing water out anyway possible, from telling people to jump off the boat to hard wiring your bilge pump to move the water out asap! To each there own and again as long its not my boat have fun!

I also thought I expressed that I myself do not do them
I have a problem with the idea of taking your Floating boat and dropping the nose under the water thus filling your boat with water (way of your weight thresh-hold with all riders and gear) defeats the purpose of boating, Yea its exciting and you get a rush from doing it. If your a Sub freak get a ski and dive to the depths.

As for this "did the dive..now boat dont run :( thread" (http://www.seadooforum.com/showthread.php?t=18114)

I wish this board member a speedy cheap recovery and hopefully a lesson was learned...
No hard feelings.. I just do not like be quoted as if I condone something I do not.
Happy boating

hahaha i have sub'd several times...usually leave the "sub'n" till i'm ready to pull the boat out of the water...not no more though...i will leave the sub'n to others....

hehehe lesson LEARNED!!!
