Quick question, If I jump the solenoid on my 96 GTX will my plugs still fire, or does the switch have to be operational for fire to reach them. THANKS FOR ANY HELP!!!!

If you just jump the solenoid... no, the plugs wont fire. You still have to put the lanyard on to get fire.

Thanks, I wondered about that. Is it possible for the lanyard to be bad and still get the two beeps when I hook it up? Thanks again

if you put your lanyard on and get two beeps its good,if you get a short solid beep ,its not pluged on all the way or not programed.

OK, if the laynard is good (two beeps) and I jump the relay, should I get fire at the plug. I am showing 12 volts at the start switch plug going into the relay when I press the button, so I think my switch is ok. Also just to be sure, should I see resistance on my meter when I press the button or when it is released, this would really help in me trying to make sure my start/stop switch is ok. Thanks again for any help ya'll can give me.

when doing a resistance/continuity test, when released it should read OL.when pressed you should see resistance,if your getting 12 v on the yellow/red wire ,and good ground on the black that pretty much tells you that your relay is bad
