I have a 1999 GTS and for the most part it runs fine. When I run at higher throttle settings and push it a bit, it will run for about 5 minutes and then just dies. It starts right up and the cycle repeats itself. I did find an obstruction (dirt) in the fuel vent line, but I thought I got it all out. It seems to me that it quits because it is starved for fuel. Please Help:confused:

If you found dirt in the vent lines... You may want to clean the entire fuel system.

Be careful if you continue to run it that way. Every time it dies... it's starving the engine of fuel... and in turn... oil. You could cause damage if you don't get it fixed.

Clean, replace fuel and oil system parts, as Tony suggested the longer you delay the closer you get to total failure, and then you still have to fix the original problem/s.

When the motor runs lean it burns out sliding parts, when they break they often fall below causing rotating parts failures, all because the fuel/oil system was neglected - take the time to find the problem/s and the fun factor is amazing, these things are built very well but in the wrong hands can require some love to bring back the fun.
