Plastic octagon shaped boxes on air line

Can anyone tell me what the grey octagon shaped (filter looking) plastic boxes are that are in the air lines in the back of a seadoo - I have a 2 stroke 2005 GTI - and I am wondering what are these grey octagon shaped boxes that are in the air line?????

If they are in the bottom of the hull... that's the filters on the end of your bailing hoses.

They are check valves for your bailer system. Only lets water go out, not in.
