The last twice I've been out on my Seadoo GTX 951 I've had melting pipes. Firstly the ones around the spark plugs, and even the pressure regulator melted out near the tank. Today 2 of the plastic pipes from the exhaust melted. I know it's caused by heat but why are those areas getting too hot?

First off, welcome to the forum.
Second, I am in Houston area, frequenting Lake Houston, and the beaches of Surfside.
Third, you ARE running hot. Quit running it until you figure out where your problem is. I think you may have a line clogged somewhere that is restricting your waterflow in your cooling system.
Are you running off the beach in salt water, or freshwater out of one of the lakes or rivers?
You may need to do some sort of flushing to clear the clog, or replace some lines.
When you run it on the hose at home, do you ever get a good flow of water out of the rear pee-hole?

I'm in Katy and take it to Lake Somerville. I've just ordered a manual so hopefully I'll be able to see where all the black pipes go to, I didn't even know it was for cooling
. It's a 2000 but only has 20 hours on it.Thanks, I guess the RAVES are the 2 regulator type things with red tops on? What is the W.R? The Seadoo also seemed to fill with more water than usual, could you water pump not be working, if they are both linked. I'm pretty lost with it all at the minute but I will learn.
W.R. is the "water regulator", located on the muffler, and yup, your correct, the "red dot" caps, are the RAVES. Need to remove the raves and clean them, those are easy, remove the 2-allen bolts on each side of its housing, and pull up slowly, theres a o-ring gasket under each, so dont lose them. Wire brush/wire wheel them clean, scrape the inside journal area clean, then re-install.
