So I went to a local dealership around my area to try and make up my mind between the GTI SE and the RXT. I would love to have the extra power, but I wouldn't love dishing the extra cash out to maintain the sc in RXT. When I got to the dealership I noticed they had 2 used GTI SE available. Both of which are 08 models and one is a 155 and the other is a 130. The package deal with a trailer is $10,500.. What is your though on that price? The 155 only has 26 hrs on it and the 130 has 41. The dealership actually sold these skis to the previous owner, they have done all the maintenance and everything for them since they left the lot. I have a '97 GTI and my other question I had, are these newer models able to whip around like the older, lighter models?

Thanks!
Stephen

To answer the whipping question I rode an 06 GTI 130hp which probably isnt that different and it was quite playful in the tail.

My buddy has a pair of 08 GTI SE's with the 130 engines. . They are pretty nice skis. For being big heavy skis they still can be thrown around a lot. That seems to be a fair price.

Not quite as tossable but pretty close. I'd go for the 155 if it was me, since it's the same thing as the 130, just with a different tune basically. More likely to be satisfied.

The RXT was an 08.. He wanted $8,500 for the RXT. But for $2,000 more I could have 2 skis instead of one.. So I'm still on the fence. We have a pretty big family so having two skis instead of one would be pretty nice.

Sounds like the gti pair would be best in your situation with your family, etc. Generally you will have a tad more maintenance with higher performance skis. I think you have just answered your own question ;)

The GTI is an awesome family ski. They are huge and very stable. The boarding ladder is a great option too. You will love them.
