On the Cover !!

Hi guys,

OK... so most of you know I own a small shop that does custom bikes. I do work on whatever shows up, but bikes are my thing.

Anyway... I was recently sent a picture from a customer. It seems as one of my bikes made it to the cover of the new JC Whitney catalog. They don't carry any of my products... but it made me feel good that I got some recognition.

FYI... it's a 2006 Victory Kingpin, and the front wheel is 23". All the parts on it were produced by me, in my shop. (except for the highway bars)

WOW man. I gotta say that is one sweet bike! Congrats on getting on the front page there. Awesome plug for your shop. Do they give you any credit in the articles?

Thats pretty sweet dude. Must feel good to have something that you created on the cover of a very popular magazine. I once had one of my cars featured in a small nissan magazine and I remember how good I felt after seeing it in there, even though it was a very small feature.

That's pretty cool to make the cover, especially unexpectedly. That'd be a nice thing to have framed in your shop.

That is awesome. You should try to talk them into selling stuff you make.

They want my stuff. But they also want a 45% margin. I can't work with that, unless they can guaranty me high volumes. (with a contract)

Meany small companies have gone out of business hopping for volumes. Also, when working on small margins, I give people 10 day terms. They wanted 120 day.

Either way... it's cool to see my stuff out there.
