97 gsx.
Idle the boat goes too fast.
Open throttle it goes too slow. 30mph max when it used to go 55mph.
I cleaned carbs and thimkbi messed up speed screws.
Its dual carb and not sure which screws I try to tweak first.
both catbs at same time?

Using phone to type...

Set the idle at 1500 in the water. Set your low screws at 1 turn out. Then set your Mag high at 0 and your PTO high at 1/2.

Thanks. I checked all those. Took it for another spin with same result. Except this time noticed gas switch was on reserve. Switched it to normal, and the seadoo wouldn't get above 10 mpg without dieing. Still on original fuel lines on this boat, so I'll swap those and check the switch.

Change the fuel lines, clean the fuel select valve, and check the filters in the carbs.

The Stock gray fuel lines decay, and will will the system full of green goo.

remove the black caps on motor (raves), and pull up on the valves. If any/both are stuck/friction when lifting, then you'll need to remove them, and clean them with a razor, since your at the river. Try run'n a flathead down inside housing as weel, and scrape up any carbon from there.

Do I need to replace the line going from the gas tank to the check valve and pressure release valve? I assume that is only filled with air and decay shouldn't be a concern. I ran out of fuel line, but I can go get more if that one is important too. The valves are not easy access from what I can tell.

hold ur hand over the caps while removing the cap spring. Then gently lift up and then sneak 2 fingers under the cap to grab the heavy spring. With both cap/spring remove, lift up on valve stem.

If one/both have ANY restriction at all, need to take care of it, or pack up the ski, cuz you'll kill your spark plugs.
