Old twin 85 speedster vs new 4tec 155?

I am looking at picking up a speedster to play on. My lake has a 190hp restriction unless its a inboard ski boat. That leaves me with the options of the old speedster with twin 85's or the newer 4tec 155.

I am a speed junkie and it would kill me to spend the money on a new or newer 155, and not get the scic.

It looks like there is not many aftermarket performance parts recommended for use on either boat aside from impellers. How do the two boats compare speed wise?

Is there anything I'm missing on the twin boats? My searches seem to show that it is not recommended to mod these boats?

thanks
Matt

So a Ranger Bass boat with a 175hp Merc that goes about 65mph is ok but a Speedster with twin 110s thats lucky to crack 55 on a good day isn't?? :svengo:
I had a 96 Speedster, it was fun, real high 47-48mph. Not sure on the modding. I see there are companies that do head work and whatnot around on the Rotax though. One of the experts could answer better.
