I am going through my skis front to back in great detail. First time since I have owned them (Bought new in 2011). Going to replace the plugs, change the oil, put on a few mods that I bought 4 years ago, get the SC Rebuilt ect ect..

I do not have an oil bucket removal tool. Anyone built their own? If so, what did you do? I know I can just do it and be done, but would like input from others just so I can avoid any issues others have learned to avoid...

Thanks in advance..

I built using a vacuum pump I got off of Ebay for $75.00 and a 787 waterbox, I used Yamaha fuel tank pickups to cover the inlet and outlet and attach the suction hose, the suction hose from the pump attaches to the screw in fitting where the water regulator used to be, the suction hose is plastic icemaker line, the cool part is you stick the suction hose in the dipstick, turn it on and walk off.

My pump looks a lot like the one in the link below but I also use mine for composite work, you could probably get by with something like the second link for pumping out oil.

I did for my boat (non seadoo). I used a 12v pump from harbor freight with garden hose fittings, that screw onto the dip stick on the boat. The pump mounts to the lid of the home Depot bucket, with 4 bolts. Output hose goes into the bucket through a hole in the lid. Works well. I will most likely update to a smaller bucket this year. I put clip lead clamps on the power cord to clip on the battery.

I can probably get my brother's off him for a week or two, when I do need one that's what I do, I don't change my own oil I either take it to him and keep him company while he does it or let my tuner do it. If you were closer it makes sense but for the drive I'd say your better off just buying one and having it forever.

I should be heading your way sometime in the next 5-7 days, I need to see Oscar and go to lauderdale as well for seadoo stuff, we were supposed to do it last friday but it was rescheduled.

I have an oil extractor pump I purchased from Northern Tools. It draws oil through dipstick or any small opening (fill tube). I use it to change oil on my boat, motorcycle, lawn mower, pressure washer, etc. Haven't used it on my doo, but I don't see any reason why it won't work. I think I paid $40.
