Oil Injection cable broke while riding (learned somthing new)

Well it is a nice piece of mind knowing that if you have a 97 GTI and your cable breaks on your injection pump...it goes into full rich mode. Plugs where ugly but eng is nice and lubed. Now I am just pre-mixing. :cheers:

That's a benefit of having oil injection...that way it won't ever cause a seizure, if it fails. Just fouled spark plugs.

That is good to know! I have a 97 GTI as well and was going to replace that just for piece of mind even though the cable looks great, but may just use that money for other things on it this winter.
