Hi, after storing the PWC during winter (we got a bad summer this year in Sweden :) ), took it out, tried to start - dead.
The spark plugs where wet of oil, runned the engine without the spark plugs and two fountain out of the holes of oil.

Anybody got a clue what had happened, how to fix.
Englose a picture of when I hold a piece of wood over the engine.

Hope someone got any clue what happened :)

The crank seal is weak or bad. Really not a big deal and it is pretty common.

Once you clear the cylinders put in new plugs and it will start and burn off the rest of the oil. For long term storage, install a valve in the tank line, pinch the hose closed, or drain the tank. If you use it once a month in the summer you'll not have an issue.

I do recommend that ANYTIME you have the hose pinched or the valve closed that youhang your lanyard on the hose. This way you will not start the engine without opening the line..

Waow, thanks for your answer. Most grateful :) Would it be possible to get it going without changing the crank seals? Just to blow the engine clean and try with new spark plugs?

I had and problem with an leak in the cylinder, removed the top, sealed it with a kind of aluminum paste, almost as clay, but got hard afterwards, did not change the cylindergasket, should I have put in a new one?

Kind regards Mats

To change the seal you will almost for sure need a new crank... They wear the crank beyond he specs of what a new seal will solve in most cases. Yes, you can get it going without a new seal.

I can't answer the second question about the aluminum paste off hand...

Thanks that sounds super, will try to run the engine without the spark plugs until it seems dry, then try to start it.

According to the other question, I was a bit unclear with it, as I took of the top, and replace it later without new cylindergaskets, was that stupid? Do I always replace them with new?
It seems as one of the cylinder, beside the oil, also contains a bit water, (it might come from the coolingwater).

Kind regards Mats

Many have reused the O-rings for the heads from what I have read and not had issues. If there is water in the cylinder. It can really only get there if the block is cracked, an O-ring has failed, or the ski sunk.

I'm very anal when I do anything, so I'd replace any gaskets and seals when I'm doing a repair.

Hi, after long time without any spare time to try to fix the engine, now it's the time. But I can not get it out.

Where should I take it apart, any tips of how to do it? Should it taken apart on A B C or D?

Everything screwe is out, but it is not possible to take it out.IMG_7198.JPG
