Oil for my 2002 GTX

I bought a GTX new in 2002 and the dealer has always proformed the oil changes using synthedic SD SDP (4 qt) oil but I just picked up the unit and discovered that he used KAW 10w40 (3 qt) is this good enough oil to be using or shoud I call him out on it?

pull the oil stick, see if its low, if so, i'd throw anutha 10w-40 bottle in there.

But then, if you aint stoked/satisfied, takee it back.

I checked the oil and was full so either I been being ripped off for 4 qts or something has changed, now will KAW 10w40 protect this eng or should I call seadoo for more imfo on how much the 4 tec holds and type of oil recommended?
