Well I took the boat out for the first time today. Reverse is a bit odd.

To make a long story short, wind whipped around. I was headed straight for my bro's boat. I was sideways and wind had blown to shore I had to hit the gas and I sucked up some debris and rocks on starboard side.

Before incident I was doing 52MPH and motors ran pretty even. Now I can only do 45MPH. Motors now running about 3:00RPM different. I looked at propeller on port side and it looks good and new. The starboard side looks possibly dented and chipped.

How do I get it out to better check it? Should I get a new one or get this one fixed. Should I worry much about the shaft? If I have to replace it, should I go stock or is there a high performance aftermarket propeller I should get?

Lots of questions I know, sorry. I am freaking out though! Thanks for your help.

Don't freak out. The impeller, unless badly damaged, can be repaired. Your issue is probably wear rings. If you read one of my earlier tread, I had something similar happened...I sucked up a transom strap that someone threw into the water by the ramp. You are probably looking at a new wear ring and impeller repair.

Sorry about the first post. That was from my cell phone. Is there anyone that sells the impellers (sorry, I remembered they were called that after my last post) and O-rings on the net or have any blown up diagrams of the units? Just know very little about them but I am very mechanicaly inclined so i am sure i can do the repair myself. I think I am going to visit a Seadoo dealership Monday (2 hr. drive) and see what they say. Maybe buy a repair manual for it if one exists.

Looks to me like 4 allen bolts and some cable connects and that about all there is to get into the unit.

Oh, by the way, Sikiguya, is the hex shaped bar (tie rod maybe?, not sure what it would be called) that is used for steering that goes between the 2 units ( maybe 14-16"s long??) on your boat straight? Mine is bent. I think I might need to get one of them as well. it was bent when I bought it.

Sako. Sorry..but my boat is at the dealership for warranty issue so I can't compare. :(:(

Are you talking about the swim ladder?:rofl::rofl:

Just kidding. I'd ask the dealer. You can check it on any other twin motor boat to compare. Challenger 210, Challenger 230, Speedster 200, etc. They are the same. When you get to the dealer, just swing by the boat area and look.
