I'm new to this site but i would be thankful for any help.. I have a 96 sea doo speedster that i purchased last year. I've had the boat running before and everything seemed to be fine. now when i put my cap onto the post there are no beeps. if i press the start button five times i will get one short and one long beep. it seems if it just doesn't reconize my key, i've tried cleaning my key and post with soap and water and the batteries seem to be fine. HELP PLEASE!!!!!

Batteries seem to be fine??? Have it LOAD TESTED at Auto Zone for free,then you know. Make sure the battery is full charged also. Be sure the cables are getting a good connection at the battery and the ground near the starter.

i replaced both bateries and still no beeps. after putting my lanyard cap on and off a 100 times i got a double beep and both motors started and seemed to run fine. i believe it has a bad lanyard post. the boat is a 96 and has the original post. i ordered a new one from my local dealer for $87.00 and i'm hoping that solves my problem. thanks for the help!! i'll let you know how everythig turns out.
