Hello all... another newb to your corner of the internet :hat:
I am looking into buying a 96 XP & 99 GTI from a family friend.
He said the last time they saw water was 3 seasons ago this year and the 96 was running strong but now needs a new battery and most likely the carb rebuilt
The last time the 99 was out was the same time but it just died while they were riding. No clue what is wrong with it but the motor can be turned over by hand, just wont try to turn over on its own.
I came here this morning looking for some info and have found A LOT :hurray:
I'm hoping it is something as simple as needing a new battery, or starter, or lanyard post... but also hoping it is not anything serious :redface:
Anyhow, thanks for all of the help and for the distraction from work so early on a Monday morning :rofl:
*edit* the more I dig... the more I'm leaning towards clogged fuel filter / carb... either way, I think I can get this fixed fairly cheap!
