Purchased tonight-----> 2011 RXT-X-260 instead

UPDATE-----Purchased a 2011 RXT-X 260 instead ( 47 hours and No suspension) :)

Hello Folks

Completely new to PWC and about to pull the trigger today on a 2010 RXT-X-260-AS(suspension) with 125 hrs on it . This is from a large dealer who is also rebuilding the supercharger, new plugs and oil for me before picking it up. Seems to be in great shape, as previous post it has the upgraded sponsons on the rear and the bow sponsons stabilizers also. Has the Seadoo brand trim tabs on the rear..
My BIG concern is reading some issues about the suspension models and sinking issues. I am on enough forums on other things not to believe everything you read or hear as things get blown out of proportion.
Is there a big difference between the IS suspension vs the AS Suspension?

Your opinions would be appreciated before a drop a large sum of money.

Thank You

I'm not a big suspension fan. Makes the skis much harder to work on (can't just pop the seat off) and top heavy. I just wouldn't buy one unless I could get a GREAT deal on it. When they are working as they should, they are great skis and comfortable. When there is an issue, no fun to work on them.
And yes, there was a couple of years that were prone to sinking. Don't recall the years off hand.

Thanks , since I was a little scared to deal with a suspension model, I put a down payment tonight on a 2011 RXT-X-260 with 47 hours and will pick it up Friday. :)

Thanks
Mike

Nice ski. You will love it.

Some ICs on that year are bad. Pay attention to your oil. If you see ANY water in it, you have a defective IC.
