Hi guys,

i am completely new to the pwc world and this forum.

little introduction of myself:

i am Leroy and i am from The Netherlands and 24 years old

I bought a seadoo xp 800 and a seadoo xp 657.

Now they both already went to the painter and they are both going to be completely black with monster energy green on it and monster energy decals.

Yesterday i ran the xp 800 in the backyard but the 657 won't start.

I tryed switching the battery's to see if that is the problem, but battery seems fine.
in my opinion it looks like there aint no power cause the startengine wont do nothing..
it looks death. So i think it has something to do with the connectors (on switch and safety switch) or perhaps something in the electrical box.. (fuses are fine though)

i really dont know what to do so any advice would be extremely appreciated.

Best regards,

Leroy:cheers:

Update:

I checked the electronic box, the power seems to run to the trombetta but stops there i think.
if i check the red cord that runs to the starter engine for any voltage.. the light on my screwdriver doesnt pop.. concluding it doesnt gets any power.

Hope this might help you guys a ltitle bit more.. and so help me more

Update 2:

i made a picture of the module so you guys can see what i mean..

Welcome to the Seadooforum. You might concider joining as a Premium Member. Then your ski's manuals, library ect include Top Help Advisers quick attention.

You may have a bad starter relay. Or alot of other things to check, but start by jumping the two starter lugs to see if the starter spins the
engine. Its in the grey E-box in front of the engine. Pull the lever release to pull the box up and out of the shoe/holder that secures the box
to the ski's floor. Then you can remove the battery to get that out of the way, pull the box to rest on top of the front engine houseing to
separate the houseing/box halves. The solenoid is in there.
Please post the year & model in any thread you have ski Questions. Use the SEARCH funtion, top right PARTS microphishe, and bottom left
Similiar threads. Lots of very talented members here to help you enjoy your PWC.

The device in the picture is the solenoid. It won't have power to the other wires all the time. It should have power to the other large cable only when you are trying to start it.

Have you checked the fuses and the MPEM?
Also check to ensure you have a good ground from the battery to the motor. Sometimes it gets corroded and causes a poor connection.

I would suggest getting a service manual and go through the test procedures in the manual.

Thx for your response B_PWC,

i really appreciate it. I found the problem.. the electric box is just fine..
but the start and the killswitch wont connect good enough when you press the buttons..
now i disconnected them from the hull so i could press them in more and it works.

How can i configure that ?

Thanks for your help.

Leroy
