Anybody know how a Supercharger shaft could snap? The rebuild was done about 10 hours ago. Its a 2004 Seadoo GTX 185 with a Stage 1 RIVA kit and thru-hull exhuast. When I retrived the supercharger gear all the needlebearings were there, but were completely seized. Its an SBT Supercharger kit, but this is like my 50th one Ive installed and never had an issue with the SBT kits before. Those 40 needle bearings were seized really bad.

What could of happened here? Would a Blow Off Kit have helped?

If it has only been 10 hrs I'm guessing it was a freak failure. No a blow off valve wouldn't have helped any.
