Hello!

I am the new owner of 2 RX DI's. I was soooo excited to purchase them this spring! I got 2001 with 90 hrs and a 2002 with 50 hrs. (from 2 different owners). My wife and I took our maiden voyage this weekend with them and everything went great for the first 2 hours......then BOOM! Her machine (the 2001) just locked up! Wow what a disappointment. I will start a new topic in the correct area with more detail about it. For now I am a very disappointed sea-doo owner. I am a die hard Ski-doo fan (I own 10 from 1964-2014) and a Rotax junkie. I work on all my own stuff and have since I was a boy. I have rebuilt many different 2 stroke(and 4 stroke for that matter) engines from snowmobiles to dirtbikes to outboard motors and have a good understanding of how they work.

Hi and welcome to the SeaDoo forum.

Are you from Granby Mass, my wife is originally from Western Mass., Amherst. DI's are great running ski's unfortunately they can sometimes be a bear to repair.

Lou

Hey Lou thanks for the welcome!

I'm in Granby, Colorado on Granby reservoir at about 8400'. I am learning about these DI's very quickly.

As Lou mentioned. Fantastic ski when they are running well. Nightmares when they are not. The logic is the same but the cost of the diagnostics and the repair parts is considerably higher. Best of luck with it/them. Seadoo's are fantastic skis. Don't let the DI ski ruin it for you. A bit late to suggest this, but in the future avoid the DI skis. That said, you are in it now.
