Hey, folks.
We just picked up a 1996 Challenger with a recent engine upgrade, which included an MSD 4255 addition.
It only came with one key.
From my reading, I understand that the MSD box bypasses the MPEM and, as per the instructions, "The stock lanyard will now be used as the ignition kill function and the start/stop switch will be connected so it will act as a start switch only. "
If I wanted to buy a second lanyard, does this mean that I simply buy a used lanyard off ebay and not worry about programming or do I have to tow the boat to an authorized repair center and have them program a new key?
Thanks!
