I just got a 1996 GSX and I have a few issues. First when the key is put on there are no beeps but it fires up. Second the only thing that works on the info gauge is the fuel light. Next, I was wondering if there is anything special I should do after using it. I know to get all of the water out but was wondering about the battery or anything else.

In fresh water not a big deal, wipe it down spray everything with wd-40 or silicone to displace the water and protect it from corrosion, then leave it alone. In salt water, its a different story. You need to run it on the hose and rinse it real good with fresh water. As far as the info system, check all the fuses and wire connections. It could be the beeper is bad. Put you hand over it to feel if it vibrates. You need the beeper in case it does over heat. It will warn you, other wise you'll never know till it's too late. There is one available on our "Parts" link, if it needs replacement. I would check the wires to it first, then replace it, if it is bad.
