Finally! A Nice enough day to work on the SeaDoo!

Been a work in progress. Picked up a decent '98 GTS about a month ago, mechanically it was very sound, but needed a little cosmetic love!

-New HydroTurf mats, grips
-New registration letters
-New handlebar cover, intake grille
-About a gallon of polishing compound!
-Added an easy-to-use water bypass, plugs, etc
-Trailer got new tires/wheels/bearings

Not too bad for a 13 year-old ski! Headed out to the lake next week! Will post pics/vids!

Looks like it just came off the show room floor!

What polish did you use? Did you just polish around the decals?

Did you use the HydroTurf's with the PSA backing or the glue down?

Thing looks brand new man. I love fixing up the older skis. Were you get that handlebar cover. I know your seat is not worn, but it would look great with a matching hydroturf seat cover in the future. Have fun at the lake.

Nice job! I hope to do this with my ski's this summer
it does however look lonely on that trailer... i suggest you get another one and a double trailer ;)

Very nice work. BUT... I would loose the ball valve. The first time you forget to open it... you will roast your engine. Personally... I would rather purge water out of an engine that had to be towed back shore, than to accidentally kill one. (just my 2 cents)

I've rebuilt 2 SeaDoo's in the last couple years. Nothing like getting something cheap, and putting the time, and love into it to make it your own.

Thanks! Used Turtle Wax Rubbing Compound (lots!), even on the decals, did ok! (New reg #s). I did get the mats with PSA, but I need to get a little adhesive for a couple of places. Some spost just won't stick! Oh well!
