New Cylinder Sleeves

Hello,
I put in new sleeves in my 2002 951 DI and I picked up my cylinder jug to put it on the pistons and I just had a random thought about do I need to like hone my new sleeves before use? I cant find anything on this. Does anyone know about this?

You have to have the sleeves honed to match the pistons.
You can't just slap in new sleeves and go as they have to be honed to spec clearance.
