Need to replace magnet in fuel float - SPX

I have a '93 SPX that the fuel gauge quit working on. I pulled the baffle and ended up finding that the magnet had fallen out of the float.

The float....well....floats. I checked it in a cup of gasoline. I also found the magnet in the bottom of the tank. But what do I use to glue it back into the float?

I've used JB Weld on a fuel sending unit in a scooter before and it seemed to hold well. Is this ok for use in a Seadoo? Any other suggestions?

Mine wasn't glued. It was just pressed into the seam. Actually there were two magnets, one above the other. Maybe as suggested just replace the whole float. see http://www.onlyseadoo.com/index.php?main_page=product_free_shipping_info&cPath=1&products_id=7. I think this price incl. S&H.
