need help with 95 gtx 657x

I was out this weekend on my seadoo and everything was going good until i spun the ski around. I tried to give it throttle but all i got was the engine reving like it wanted to go, water was shooting out the pump but it wouldnt go past 10 mile an hour. it finally cleared itself out but is there anything i can check. is it a carb problem or impeller problem. i,m not sure where to start so if anyones got some good advice ide be glad to here about it.

Wear ring

You need to check the clearance between the impeller and the wear ring. There should be very little clearance. If there is a large gap you will get a lot of cavaitation when you try to take off. I am not sure of the exact acceptable spec, but I'm sure someone will chime in.. All that being said you most likely need to replace the wear ring.
